Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA) Training and Certification for Nova Scotia Universities and NSCC

 Since 2013, student advisors in Canada have been prohibited from providing immigration advice unless they are certified as Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC) or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA). To support compliance and enhance international student support, EduNova offers funding for one staff member from each Nova Scotian post-secondary institution to obtain RISIA certification. This initiative equips institutions with qualified professionals to provide accurate immigration advice, fostering a supportive environment that helps international students succeed and thrive in Nova Scotia.
